Community Concierge Program

Do you have new employees who have started within the last 12 months? Don’t let them navigate this journey alone. Studies show that if your new employee does not feel a sense of belonging within 90 days, you could be at risk of losing them! Our Community Concierge program is here to ensure they seamlessly integrate into the community and feel right at home, strengthening your workforce and our community as a whole.

Make the most of this opportunity – we want to help your new employees thrive in Fort Dodge!

About the Community Concierge Program

The Growth Alliance’s Community Concierge program aims to support employers in attracting and retaining valuable employees by facilitating their integration into the Greater Fort Dodge region. Through personalized assistance from a Volunteer Community Navigator, the program assists employees and their families in building relationships, accessing resources, and engaging with various aspects of the community during their first year, including employment support, education, childcare, social connections, and recreational opportunities.

Community Concierge Tour1

The Concierge program will connect the employee with a Volunteer Community Navigator who will provide personalized assistance and resources to the employee during his/her first year in the community such as:

  • A guided tour of the community
  • Help with the employment of a trailing spouse.
  • Connection with principals or teachers at area school districts
  • Connections with childcare or elder care
  • Introduction to places of worship, service clubs, volunteer opportunities
  • Communication regarding community events and activities
  • Information and connections regarding specific areas of interest/hobbies
  • Personal knowledge on lifestyle, recreation, business, healthcare, and arts & culture opportunities

Businesses working to recruit or welcome new employees are encouraged to take advantage of this new service.
